The Gift List

Dec 03, 2020

Grab some hot chocolate and settle in -- we’ve got this year’s WELLNESS GIFT LIST for you! We’re focusing on small or sustainable businesses this year + a few local businesses in the Madison area if you happen to live here!

OH! Before I dive in, I have to share : We also have a huge list of new gear for you this year designed by our incredible pilates guru, Lauren Rae! Shirts, masks, mugs and onesies with reminders to Train, Breathe Repeat

And encouragement for a braver 2020 with Sweat, Compassion and Kindness

And now - without further ado - here’s my 2020 Gift Guide for Wellness Lovers!

Online Gift Guide:

Danielle LaPorte said beautifully of this year : MAKE THIS CHANGE YOU… and a wearable reminder seems appropriate. The Prana TRANSFORMATION Jersey Knit Top is sustainably sourced, super soft long sleeved shirt is 100% on my list for this year!

Always a favorite, Kleen Kanteen is top of the line when it comes to reusable water bottles. The Insulated Classic is … well…. Classic. (Fresh Pine is my fave color!) This family-owned company is dedicated to the environment and their team … and their bottles always keep my tea so hot that even 5 hours later, I have to sip carefully!

If you’re shopping for someone (or yourself) that wants to stay active and warm without the back pain and foot cramps that come with stiff, clunky boots, Zero Shoes MIKA BOOT is your pick!

This is my stocking stuffer pick for the year! The Relaxator is a small, inexpensive breathing device that helps regulate your breathing and soothe your nervous system by retraining a longer exhale. It comes with training guides, recommendations and best practices. I keep mine in the car and do drills on my commute!

And - for anyone that wants a truly amazing yoga or exercise mat - we always have to go with Manduka. This company is committed to the environment and karma, and the Manduka Pro is a go-to for cushion, the perfect amount of “stickiness” and longevity.

Local Madison Wellness Gift Guide:

If you’re in the area, check out these local vendors for gifts with curbside pick up or safe shopping!

Change Boutique Stocking Stuffer Gift Kit (or really any of the super-soft, incredibly sourced clothing items in their inventory!) is like bringing part of a yoga studio home with you. I love this store so much!

I stumbled upon Green Life Trading Co. while I was picking up some gifts last weekend and OHMYGOODNESS. Bring a cute little set of mason jars, fill them up with natural skin care products and wrap them in a reusable gift scarf… or pick something off the shelves like a DIY incense kit! No chemicals. Lots of love!

Have a runner in your life? One of the weird ones that runs in the cold? Get them some YakTrax at FleetFeet! Their cold weather running gear selection is also amazing - mittens, gaiters and hats for the braver souls (one of which I am not.)

And lastly : BOOKS. Please visit Mystery to Me Books or A Room of One’s Own in Madison and special order if it’s not currently on their shelves! This year, my fitness picks and go-to faves are:

  1. The Oxygen Advantage, Patrick McKeown
  2. Lean and Strong, Josh Hillis
  3. Untamed, Glennon Doyle
  4. Feminine Genius, LiYana Silver

(you can see our whole recommended reading list HERE!)

And - last plug here ….

If you have anyone in your life who needs someone extra in their corner in the coming year, we’re here. Just shoot us an email and we’ll find a time to chat with you about your budget, their needs and how we can help with a gift card or service purchase, or who we’d recommend for the non-movement stuff.

Thank you for supporting companies that have our planet and human kindness at the core of their practices! We love you! We’re grateful for you! And we wish you the happiest of holiday seasons.
